Empire Truck Lines, Inc. accepts our responsibility for the safety and health of our employees and those providing services to Empire as independent contractors.  Empire considers no phase of a job, operation or process to be more important than Safety.

Empire considers safety to be an essential element of operations.  The efficiency of any operation can be measured directly by its ability to control loss.  Accidents resulting in personal injury and/or property damage represent loss that must be avoided and/or controlled.

It is Empire's Policy to:

  1. Recognize, understand, and accept that our safety program is composed of a series of elements that permits Empire to meet its objectives, safely, cost efficiently, and on schedule.

  2. Recognize that reducing motor vehicle accidents and protecting employee health has a direct impact on our productivity.

  3. Obligates it's self to the support of our Safety Program and the Safety staff.

  4. Comply with laws including but not limited to 29CFR Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA), 40CRF Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), 49CFR Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations as well as applicable state and local laws.

Empire encourages and requires employees and contractors to follow commonly recognized safety practices and safety policies developed and implemented by Empire's Safety Department.
